Rubber flooring is extremely versatile and can be used in a wide variety of commercial environments. However, you must choose the best app for your device to get the best investment for your budget. Commercial rubber flooring can be installed in one of the following three ways:

Rubber floor rolls

The installation of rubber flooring rolls can be compared to the structure of traditional wide-woven carpet rolls. Both can be installed directly onto the existing substrate using adhesive tape or glue.

Rubber floor tiles

Rubber flooring is best suited to commercial operations that would like to implement a floating floor. This is because these tiles are designed to be laid loosely without the need for adhesives or double-sided tape.

Rubber floor mats

If you want to cover a large area without installing a permanent solution, consider rubber floor mats. These mats can be used at entrances to prevent slips and falls and also help maintain the longevity of your floor.

How to clean rubber floors?

Maintenance protects your investment, it’s simple and easy. As any facilities manager knows, renovations are expensive. And proper maintenance pays off compared to tearing it out and replacing it every five years.

The floor is no exception. Your floor is exposed daily to foot traffic, spills, and the weight of equipment and furniture. You must have a floor maintenance plan in place to extend the life of the flooring system and maintain the manufacturer’s warranty.

When it comes to rubber floors, maintenance couldn’t be easier. Rubber is so easy to clean that no harsh chemicals or cleaning agents are needed. Simply sweep or vacuum dust and dirt, then wipe off any residue that clings to the surface. From there, allow the floor to air dry and wipe off any remaining liquid that may still be present.

What is it best used for?

Due to its durability, rubber tile flooring is easy to clean, durable, and a good choice for environments such as laundry rooms, gyms, basements, etc.

However, as great as it is for activity areas, most people don’t see it as an option for a few applications in a typical home. In addition, some homeowners find the smell of natural rubber unpleasant, even if it disappears after a while.

Costs and Design:

Depending on your decorating preferences, the appearance of a rubberized floor can be either positive or negative. Although some types of rubber flooring fail to imitate ceramic or wood flooring, a wide variety of textures and colors are available, such as the leaf, coin, and diamond plate textures.

While you can expect to spend anywhere from $3 to $8 per square foot for an adequate rubberized floor, an attractive, premium rubber floor can go up to $12 to $15 per square foot.

Repair and maintenance:

How long does a rubber floor last in good condition? In general, rubber floor tiles require little maintenance, which contributes to their durability. Regarding stain resistance, rubber flooring is better than its natural type. To clean rubberized floors, use a damp mop and special cleaning agents.

Although rubber floor tiles resist most staining agents, strong detergents and cleaning fluids can discolor and damage them. Additionally, this flooring must stay out of oil and grease, making it a terrible choice for kitchens. Also, if your dog’s nails scratch your wood floor, imagine something similar could happen to your rubberized pet floor.
