Are you fed up with the fact that your litter box starts to smell after just a few days and leaves traces all over your floor? In this piece, we looked at a novel form of kitty litter called tofu cat litter, which is produced from tofu available at global sourcing.
If you are unfamiliar with tofu cat litter, it has several characteristics that are not seen in other typical types of cat litter. Tofu litter is a beautiful alternative to traditional cat litter since it does not leave behind any clumps, it is fully biodegradable, it is safe for food, and by global sourcing it does not contain any dangerous chemicals.
Tofu litter: the advantages and disadvantage
1. It has a very long lifespan.
Are you sick of cleaning your litter box every other day? Our studies with tofu litter produced substantially better outcomes than those we obtained with different types of waste, which typically only last around one to two weeks before they get too stinky and need to be thrown away. Before we needed to come in and clean the litterbox again, the products would typically last for between three weeks and a whole month. Always remember to scoop your trash every day!
2. Suitable for human consumption and free of dust
Your cat is free to consume some tofu since it is a natural food manufacturing from the scraps of bean production. Although we still do not advise you to start giving your cat an entire bag of tofu beans, it is comforting to know that the substance is not particularly hazardous to one’s health when consumed in average amounts.
In addition, when average litter is poured out, it has the propensity to generate a significant amount of dust. Inhaling these particles is not very healthy for your lungs, and neither you nor your cat will have fun navigating through enormous dust clouds if you put them in their path. But tofu litter makes zero dust! In comparison to other wastes, this is a significant benefit.
3. 100% Eco-friendly
This is the most environmentally friendly option for those concerned about the environment (and you should be! ). Because it does not harm the environment, this product may be broken down naturally. Since the substance is water-soluble, it may be disposed of by flushing it down the toilet, or it can be recycled as organic compost in your yard by using it in that manner.
4. A significant uptake
We experimented by filling two cups, the first with conventional clay clumping litter and the second with the tofu we had developed. The next step was to fill both cups with water until they were saturated.
Are you ready to hear the findings? Our clumping tofu litter was able to absorb approximately four times the amount of moisture than the standard clumping clay litter did. Not bad!
5. There needs to be tracking done.
The fact that most other litters adhere to your cat’s paws is one of the most significant drawbacks of using different scraps. When we tried using tofu as cat litter, we discovered it was far less sticky. This means that it won’t leave scuff marks on your flooring.
Conclusion
Tossing that old litter mat in the garbage will save you money and free up some of your time, as there will be nothing left for you to clean up! It clusters into little and fairly firm nuggets, scooping it much less complicated.
